Ground Floor Plan
Second Floor Plan
Drawn at a 1:25 scale, the 2-storey residential design explores a balance between material contrasts, spatial functionality, and architectural organization. The building contains a dark brick exterior that establishes a solid and grounded base, while the warm wood cladding highlights key living areas while also creating a visual contrast and a sense of warmth.
The design features an elevated balcony, extending the living area outward. This helps create a transitional space from interior to exterior spaces, while enhancing the exterior facade. Large window openings are carefully positioned to achieve maximum natural lighting reinforcing the connection between interior and exterior. The property has an integrated carport and a custom gate. Surrounded by a continuous perimeter wall defines the site’s boundaries, reinforcing privacy whie maintaining a cohesive design.

Building Section 1
One of the key challenges in this project was the design and integration of a custom door archway opening. This required careful consideration of proportions, curvature and alignment with the surrounding elements to ensure a cohesive appearance. Developing the archway frame involved precise detailing to maintain a clean architectural finish. The final outcome enhances the stairway experience, adding a subtle focal point that contrasts the linear geometry of the building.
Building Section 2
Carport Detail Plan
One key challenge was designing the carport, particularly in aligning the glass panels with the center of the supporting wooden posts. It required careful adjjustments of spacing, dimensions, and placement to maintain visual symmetry and logic.
